Tax 2009 Viewing previous years entries 1.0.2.8

One of the main annoyances of the tax programme is that the previous years entries are not readily viewable. I would like the client to have a tab for all previous Returns so that they can be easily accessed rather than the long winded,tiresome procedure of opening & closing earlier years then reopening the current year.
And/or
If this is not possible then bring forward all the previous years data into the current Return but show it in the new Return in Red or another distinctive colour. When the entry for the current year is made the data will revert to black. Any entries in red will require updating

Thanks for the request Bill. I'll pass it on to the development team for discussion, and see if we can come up with a nice way of introducing this.
The difficulty we have with this is way in which the data entry screens are currently designed - they do not lend themselves to disclosure of previous year data. We could include the information in the form view, but it would only be available in form view and not data entry view. We do have longer term plans to look at the design of the data entry screens with a view to making them easier to use.
